On Christmas Eve, we set off for the fancy pants part of Texas--Dallas, where my sister Kelli and her family live. We hadn't been to Kelli and Jeff's new house, so we were excited to check it out! As expected, it was big and beautiful! Oma and Opa came up from Eagle Lake to join us. The Hammons were great to host us all for a few days, and we enjoyed a lovely Christmas together.
We attended a candlelight service at their church that evening followed by our traditional Christmas Eve meal of chili, cornbread and tamales. Yum!

I just had to take a few pictures of Emmeline in her beautiful Christmas dress, the first of many! I couldn't get enough of this sparkly tulle dress and was happy that she was able to wear it twice this season. Have I mentioned how much FUN it is to have a girl?!

The elves showed up that evening with gifts for the kids! Christmas p.j.'s, of course!

Then Aunt Kelli brought out the cookie tray so the kids could put a plate together for Santa.

Once the kids were nestled all snug in their beds, Santa was ready to show up! And show up he did! Happy Christmas to all and to all a good night!
