I have an early riser. His name is Brody. Most days, he gets up before the rest of us and either reads in his bed, rainbow looms, or goes downstairs to watch tv. Knowing this, I was anticipating that he would wake up early on Christmas morning, too. What I did not anticipate is that he would wake up at 4:30 in the morning!!

super excited boys ready to get their christmas on! |
He got up to go to the bathroom, and unfortunately he happened to look over the banister and see that Santa had arrived. Well, all that excitement could not be contained. Before we knew it, the lights were on and his brothers were up, too. Mom and Dad may or may not have been a little grumpy when we made them go back to bed until 6:30.
When we finally gave them the go ahead to go downstairs, they didn't waste a second.

I'm pretty sure what they discovered under the tree was definitely worth the extra wait!

the ninja suit was waiting for this guy and he would have been happy just getting that
I hope these guys know how lucky they are, and I really hope that we instill a sense of gratefulness for all that we have been so very fortunate enough to give them. :) Highlights this year included The Wonderful 101 wiiU game, magna tiles, teenage mutant ninja turtles galore, a rainbow maker, and a very cool art projector! Thank you to everyone!

After the gift extravaganza, it was time to head outdoors for some sword fighting...
and cuddling and vitamin D with opa!
Christmas in Texas was super special this year with the addition of our sweet baby girl, a brand new cousin, and the gift of being able to spend the holidays with our family. We hope to ring in 2014 remembering the joys and blessings that we have been given. Merry Christmas to all!
