Father's Day Weekend

With all the craziness of moving, settling in, and extensive remodeling on the horizon, we have been busy, busy, busy. In fact, I will pretty much consider May the "forgotten month." On top of moving/unpacking/home projects, we had end of the school year parties and activities. It was all a whirlwind and I didn't take a single photo. So we'll just fast forward a bit to June. We hired a painting company to remove all the wallpaper in our house and then repaint walls, ceilings, and trim throughout. It was a big job, and midway through the project they kicked us out, so we went to Madden's.

Although we have been to Gull Lake numerous times, we had never stayed at Madden's before. They were having a Father's Day special, so we took advantage of the holiday weekend and went on a little adventure. :)

It was so fun and so needed. Sun and sand and water and relaxation. There are no words to describe how thankful we were for this little getaway.

On Sunday, we rented a pontoon and went out on the lake to take the kiddos fishing. They all had success and loved every minute. So did I.

The kids have already asked if we can return next year for Father's Day. I bet we will.
