She has been taking a few steps here and there for a couple weeks now, but today she decided it was time for the real deal. She and I practiced a little bit this morning, but she was still pretty wobbly and wouldn't take more than a few steps at a time. I enticed her to walk my way with a balloon that she loved chasing around the house.
She saved her "real" walking for when Daddy and the boys were home this evening, and we were all so excited for her. Yay Emme!
It has been nonstop walking since then. She is so proud of herself and just laughs and smiles when she gets going. I am both overjoyed and sad all at the same time. This marks the beginning of her independence and the end of an era for the Smith family. No more little babies in our house. :( I actually did sit down a shed a few tears after taking these last couple videos. They just grow up too fast.
Congratulations, Emme! We love you sweet girl!
