then their names were called and they received their Bibles from the Kids Programming Staff.
It was cute to see them dig right in and start reading!
The week before the presentation the parents and kids were invited to a Family Celebration, where the kids learned about their new Bibles and the parents were given tips on how to use them at home. We were also given an opportunity to write a message to our children on the inside cover. Along with a personal message from Mom and Dad, I also wrote the verse that I've come to think of as Brody's Life Verse. It is from John 15:2, and it reads, "He cuts off every branch in me that bears no fruit, while every branch that does bear fruit he prunes so that it will be even more fruitful." It is our hope that Brody will use this verse to help him become the person God wants him to be and to always try to exemplify the fruit of the spirit--love, joy, peace, patience, kindness, goodness, faithfulness, gentleness and self control. We are proud of our big boy and the next steps he will take on his faith journey!
