Day 3:
Christmas is a time for celebrating the birth of Jesus. Open a surprise Christmas book and read about Jesus' birth. Then set up the nativity to show what happened on Christmas Eve night.
Grandaddy & Grandma gave us this Little People nativity set a couple years ago, and the boys love it. They love to arrange everything, move it all around, and carry the figures around the house. I love that it is kid friendly because let's face it, around our house, if it can be destroyed, it usually is. :) We set this up on Day 3 of our countdown, and we also unwrapped and read a surprise Christmas book about the birth of Jesus.
Day 4:
It's time to write that letter to Santa! Have you been naughty or nice? Mail it today so that it will reach the North Pole in time for Christmas. Don't forget the stamp!
I hadn't laughed so hard in days...these letters were a blast to write! I found the template online and just printed it out for us to fill in. Brody wrote his all by himself with a little help sound spelling. Leyton dictated to me, and I wrote exactly what he said. Never in a million years did I think he might actually ask for sparkly chicken pajamas! Santa has his work cut out for him this year!
Thanks to the internet, I found an actual address for Santa at the North Pole, so that's where we mailed these letters. I hope he got them!
