Christmas in Minnesota was quite beautiful this year, despite the near record amounts of snow we received in the days leading up to Christmas Eve. I guess if you're going to live in the 2nd coldest city in the U.S. you better darn well have a white Christmas! Although there was certainly more than enough snow out there, it sure looks magical during the holiday season!
Grandma and Grandpa Smith came up from Texas for Christmas, and they spent Christmas Eve at our house. We attended a nice service at our Church and then came home for some presents and dinner. In keeping with some of my own family traditions, we decided to serve tamales and chili--yum! Plus, I made one of the best pies I have ever tasted--cranberry walnut, sure to be a dish on many Christmas menus to come. It was a perfect evening spent with those we love!
Everybody was Kung Zhu fighting...
Those eyes say it all...there's something good in that package!
Baby Callan's not too interested in presents this year...
Grandma and Grandpa
Later that night, Santa came to visit...I think he really liked the cookies and brownies that the boys left for him because I KNOW they weren't that good this year!

How fun! Your boys are beautiful - I really love the picture on the top of the page! We missed the white Christmas this year but not the snow shoveling. God bless you all!
