All good things must come to an end, and today, after a very long and very beautiful fall, winter finally came to call. For me, that means an end to any desire to be outside for the next five months or so, but for most native Minnesotans, including my two big boys, winter is fun! Brody and Leyton woke up this morning with an excitement that was extremely contagious, and they could barely scarf down their cereal fast enough to get outside and play in all that white stuff! It was perfectly wet, heavy snow just right for making a snowman...or two!

It's gettin' bigger...
The man w/ his masterpieces!
Leyton knows the best part of playing in the cold snow...enjoying hot chocolate once you come back inside!
Our snowy day motivated us to recreate some of the big flakes we saw outside. Brody loved cutting his designs and then unfolding the paper to see what each snowflake would look like. I think we'll hang them on our windows!

I love their hat head and the hot chocolate...that's a scene right out of our house today as well!
Good job Brody! That wet snow reminds me of the kind that comes to south Texas on very rare occasions. I will have to so Brody the picture of me when I built a snowman that was 8' tall with about 15 kids in our neighborhood back in the early 70's. Have a great winter, and stay safe..Oma
you get snow and we are still in the 70-80s.....ah, i am ready for winter! Something about wearing a tshirt in November just isnt right! :)
