4 Months!

Totally smitten are we. Those blue eyes mesmerize. The china doll face and soft, rosy skin call to us and make us want to cover her face in kisses. This is one loved little girl!

Emmeline continues to grow and thrive and amuses us each day with her playful nature and gorgeous grin. This has definitely been the month where she figured out how to use her hands, and now she loves to grab onto toys, my hair, and "eat" her fingers. She stares intently at the funniest things, like the big flowers on my nursing wrap or the tiny dots on her Boppy pillow. She loves to pull the paci out of her mouth but hasn't quite figured out how to get it back in, although she tries. She is super smiley and will even go into full on belly laughs when we blow on her belly or kiss her neck.

We tried moving her to her own crib this month. The night wakings were becoming more frequent, and I suspected it might be because she knows I am right next to her. So far, we haven't seen much difference and she has ended up right back in bed with us, but I am hopeful that will change. The great thing about her being the 4th is that I am not too stressed about the situation, knowing that these things are all just little phases that eventually work themselves out. We'll get there!

Little mama tipped the scales this month at 16 pounds, 10 ounces! She continues to fall in the 90th percentile for both weight and length and shot right out of 3-6 month clothing and right into her 6-9 month things. No need to say that I think she is growing way too fast, but I think she is growing WAY TOO FAST!
