4-0!

I don't know why I thought I might actually have a baby in my arms before my due date. That has never happened...why would it now?!

40 weeks have come and gone and we are still waiting to meet our baby girl. Just like her brothers, she seems to be perfectly content to hang out in there for as long as she can. I keep saying that it's because she can hear her wild brothers out there and she's scared to come out!

I went in for my 40 week appointment yesterday, and there wasn't much progress to report...barely 2 cm dilated and I haven't had a ton of contractions or anything that might make me think labor is coming, but you never know! My doctor said the baby sounded fine and measured great, but she does want me to go back before the next week is up. So, if I make it to Tuesday, we will most likely discuss an induction for the coming days. I would REALLY love for this baby to come on her own--anytime now, little girl!

Brody tells me every day that he thinks the baby will come that day. She doesn't. Leyton prays every night that the baby will come when she's ready. I guess she's not ready. :) She could have shared a birthday with Grandaddy on the 19th or her Great Granny today, the 21st. If she comes on Monday, she'll share a birthday with her baby cousin, who is scheduled to join the world that day. Whatever she decides, we are so very excited to meet her and just full of anticipation! In any event, the countdown is on and we will hold her in our arms before the week is up. Please send prayers our way for a healthy and smooth delivery. And baby girl, come on out--we want to meet you!
