Emme's 15 Month Update!

Time is just a truckin', and sweet baby girl has already reached the 15 month mark! We are enjoying every minute of this easy-going, happy and joyous little munchkin.  She is learning so many new things and is trying to move as fast as her brothers all the time!

I'm convinced the God made her chubby and solid to help her be tough. With so many boys in the house, she gets knocked down and dragged around, but she just rolls with it. And with all those little fat rolls, she has some extra padding. :) This month, she weighed in at 28.5 pounds and is still in the 90th percentile for height. She is eating anything and everything, and even learned how to use a fork all by herself!

She's given up all her bottles except the night one, which really shows me just how much she's growing up. And her talking is really coming along. She impresses everyone with her ability to say "I love you," and just recently she started saying "I get you" when we play chase. She also almost always says "thank you" when she is handed something, and she constantly has new labels for things, like "wa wa" when she wants her cup. I adore this age and the talking that comes with it. It really couldn't be cuter!

At Christmas, Emme received a baby doll from her auntie, uncle, and cousins, and I have to say it is probably her favorite toy right now. She loves to carry the baby, put the baby in her pink car and ride around, give the baby her paci. It's really fun to experience these new interests, especially after having three boys! She also loves the play kitchen and stacking things, only to knock them all down again.

Along with this age comes the fun of getting into things, which is not always so fun for Mommy. I probably repack the cup drawer five-six times a day after she takes out each cup and lid and throws them all over the kitchen. I also can't leave my purse lying around because she'll be in it, and if she sees a drawer partly open, she'll have those clothes spread around in no time. But it's fun to watch her growing into this little person right before our eyes, and we'll take every minute of it!
