Class Parties

Brody and Leyton had their first class parties of the year on Halloween. They were so excited to take their costumes to school and see what activities and treats were in store for them. I volunteered to help at Brody's party, so I helped run the snack station where they made graveyard pudding cups with marshmallow ghosts. Fun! Decorating Halloween bags and playing ball games in the hallway for prizes were some of the other activities. This was by far the calmest class party I have attended so far. Either the kids were super engaged or Ms. Olson just has an awesome class!

I'm one of the room parents for Leyton's class, so I helped with planning, prepping, and running the party. Lots of work, but I enjoyed every minute. We made Witches Brew for snack, played pumpkin golf, danced the pumpkin freeze dance, decorated mummy cutouts, and the grand finale was making spider slime! Everything went great and the kids loved all the activites. In fact, Leyton declared his party was "AMAZING!" when he came home later that day.
