Spring Break 2013

Usually by the time Spring Break arrives, the weather is finally warming up and most people feel like the chance to get away and escape the bitter cold has come to an end. It's usually a time when you want to stay. Not this year. This never ending winter has completely worn out its welcome, but we weren't on the ball enough to get anything planned. In retrospect, we absolutely should have headed down to Texas for the week, but I have just been so out of it that by the time I thought of it, we were already in the middle of spring break and it was too late. Thankfully, Brad found a Groupon for a waterpark hotel in Eau Claire, Wisconsin, so we took a quick little trip with the kiddos and had a great little mini vacation!

Along with the waterpark, the hotel also offered an indoor amusement park and arcade. Our little dudes found lots of fun things to do there as well.

and go-carts with daddy!
After we returned from WI, I had a couple more days to fill with fun. We headed to the Children's Museum on Thursday, and it was a hit as usual.

For the final weekend of Spring Break, this mama actually got to go up north for a girl's weekend at a friend's cabin. Yee-haw! 48 hours of much needed relaxation and girl time. I would have loved to be able to take part in the wine as well, but just having the time to do whatever I wanted for two days was enough for me. Most of the other women worked on scrapbooking projects most of the weekend, but since I'm not much of a scrapbooker, I brought along just a few small things to work on and the rest of the time I just stuffed my face and caught up on some reading. Perfection!
