Minnetonka Orchards

This week was MEA, which means all schools and activities statewide halt for two days so that teachers can attend a big conference and learn new things. When I was a teacher, I loved MEA.  Now that I'm a stay-at-home mom, I loathe it.  Don't get me wrong, I don't mind having my boys at home.  The part I don't like is that EVERY school is out, too, so the typical kid places are super crowded. I do not like crowded places. (You should see me on the rare occasion I have to visit Target on the weekend. It's best if you keep your distance. :)  This year I managed to find some great fun for the kids that didn't involve thousands of people, thank goodness.  We headed out to Minnetonka Orchards on Thursday for some fall fun.  On the weekends, this place is packed!  But today, with it being super cloudy and gray, most of the people stayed away.  It was a perfect morning for us to head out for some hayrides, pumpkin sittin', train riding, corn crib sliding, hot dog and cider donut eatin' fun!
