Look Mom, No Hands!

Big excitement at the Smith household this weekend...Brody learned to ride his bike with no training wheels! We never expected him to learn so quickly and so easily, but when he saw that his buddies next door were riding without their training wheels, he wasn't about to let them show him up! :)  I think it was a combo of age/strength, the YBike Balance Bike, and the Trail-a-Bike that he rode on the back of Brad's bike that helped him learn so quickly (less than ten minutes!) We are all very proud of him, and this mama is so happy that we can finally take rides around the lakes together. I have been waiting for this day!

It didn't take long for little brother to want to follow in big brother's footsteps...at this rate, he'll probably learn to ride a bike by the time he's two!
