Easter 2012

We stayed in Minnesota this year for Easter. With no family here to visit, we had to make our own fun, and that we did! It was beautiful, and we couldn't have asked for a more perfect day to spend together as a family.  As usual, the grandparents sent along boxes of fun for the kids, and we enjoyed kicking off our Easter weekend by watching Hop, thanks to Oma and Opa.  On Saturday, the boys got in a practice round of egg hunting at the Linden Hills Egg Hunt and then spent some time in the afternoon decorating Easter eggs.

the easter bunny brought them these egg painting kits last year, and they were so much fun!

love keeping these busy boys busy!

c helped with the egg tattoos, by throwing them down the stairs!

our eggs, dyed and tattooed!

Sunday morning was full of excitement as the boys rushed downstairs to see what the E Bunny, as well as Grandaddy and Grandma, had left for them. After a fun egg hunt, an uplifting and moving Church service, and a super yummy brunch at home, we enjoyed a family bike ride around Lake Harriet and some kite flying at the bandshell. It was a gorgeous day, and we are so thankful and blessed to have our little family as we share the miracle of Easter!
