Today was the last day of ECFE for Leyton and I. That is the Mommy and Me class that we have been attending every Friday morning during the school year. It has been such a great class! We had the same teachers that Brody and I had two years ago, and we've made lots of new friends. This morning the moms enjoyed a potluck brunch while the kiddos played, and then we returned to the room for a little graduation ceremony. Each of the kids received certificates and apple stamps--it was really cute!
It's amazing to see how much the babies have grown since we all started the class together in the fall. Many of them weren't even walking yet (Leyton included,) and now they are all over the place! Six of the moms have either had babies this year or are pregnant, so that has been fun, too. We are hoping to get together this summer for some playdates and more fun.
In other news, Leyton has hit a new milestone this week, and I'm thinking it might be called the terrible twos! I know he's not officially there yet, but he has been super naughty this week, something I am very much not used to. His new word is "mine!" and he says it about everything. He's also had a few tantrums, overturned numerous plates and bowls of food while sitting in his highchair, and now he likes to throw things on the floor while I'm holding him so I'll have to pick them up. He's definitely been a bit more trying than usual this week, but hopefully it's just a phase. He's still such a sweet little love bug, and we are loving watching him grow up. Every new discovery, new word, new game is such a treat. To Leyton, every cat is a "tiger," every dog is "Elijah," every dinosaur is "t-rex," every bird is a "chicken," and every pair of flip-flops are "crocs." Priceless!!
