We had a fabulous fourth of July! It's funny that we had nothing planned and it ended up being a super-packed fun-filled day! We started the day by attending a parade in downtown Edina, and Brody enjoyed his first popsicle from the ice cream cart. He also loaded up on candy thrown from some of the parade participants. The jugglers and stilt-walkers were impressive, the marching bands had us tapping our toes, and the honored veterans and military vehicles made us proud to live in this amazing country and thankful to all those who fight for our freedoms. After the parade, we feasted on bbq at Famous Dave's and then headed out to the zoo to visit our furry friends. That evening we grilled burgers outside and I tried out a delicious new recipe for Sweet Potato Fries with Garlic Curry Aioli. Delish! Then we joined our neighbors outside for some firework action in the street and some yummy s'mores on the grill. It really turned out to be a perfect day. Hope your fourth was just as festive!
Happy Baby, Happy Fourth!

I love these pics!! ;-) I think I would like to be a kid again...
That popsicle is HUGE and he looks UBER excited to have it - too cute!!! I'd love to get that sweet potato fries recipe from you - I'm a huge fan! (I've been cheating and using the pre-cut fries from the frozen section at Target which I found work well but would certainly be willing to try your recipe!).
