Spring in Bloom

Springtime in Minnesota is a wonderful thing. We spent the afternoon at the Arboretum this weekend  taking in all the springtime beauty. The tulips were bright and cheerful with colors and varieties galore. The lilacs were just starting to open, making the air heady with their fabulous scent. But the showstoppers for me were the glorious crab apple trees in full bloom. We picked the perfect weekend to go as these beautiful blooms only last for a week before they fall off the trees. The gorgeous scenery mixed with miles of hiking trails, ponds, creeks, and endless toads made for a very fun afternoon! These pictures speak for themselves.
