Girl's Trip

Emme and I just got back from a fun-filled weekend away, our very own first official Girl's Trip!  We flew down to Texas for a little visit and to attend my sister Allyson's bridal shower. Thank God for Brad, who managed the three boys back at home for five whole days all by himself! And, I have to say, I came home to a clean house and all kids alive, so I would have to say it was a success!

It was so great to visit with family, and I actually felt a little guilty because it was so easy with just one kid along. We hadn't seen any of my relatives (with the exception of Oma) since Christmas, so it was great to get the babies together again before they are even bigger. Keaton and Emmeline became buddies right away, and they would smile and grab at each other. It was really adorable!

After arriving in Dallas and staying the night, we headed down to Taylor for the shower. Emme got lots of cuddles from her aunties and her Grandma and Grandaddy.

On Saturday, we helped host a bridal shower for Allyson. We are so excited for her wedding day to arrive! It was a lovely morning, and Allyson received lots of goodies to help get her started with her new hubby!

The babies put on quite the show for the guests at the shower. They sat with Great Granny for the majority of the time and just played and smiled. They are just too cute together!

Back at Grandaddy and Grandma's house, Keaton got a little hungry...

On our way back to Dallas, we stopped in Waco to meet Oma for a couple hours. We had lunch at Chuy's and then hung out in the "yard" before heading on our way.

We had such a fun time and can't wait to go back! The sun and warmth was a welcome change, and it's always such fun to see family. Less than two months until the big wedding day, so we'll be back soon!
