She's been a great baby so far and I am keeping my fingers crossed that she stays easy and good-natured. She generally doesn't fuss very much, unless she is hungry or wants to be held. And yes, she loves to be held! She can be sound asleep in my arms, and when I put her down, she pops right up and fusses because she wants to be back in my (or anyone's) arms. Spoiled girl for sure! Although she doesn't have any sort of set schedule yet, she eats every three hours round the clock and sleeps for much of the time in between. She is having more and more alert periods where she just likes to observe whatever is going on around her, all the while making the most adorable little newborn faces. I love to watch her little mouth move and change. So cute!
She has been smiling since she was two weeks old. I know, can you believe it? I told her pediatrician at her two-week appointment, and I know he probably thought I was delusional, but it was true. I had to be at just the right distance where she could make out my face, but she would break out in the cutest little grin when she heard my voice. Now, at four weeks old, she is smiling at anyone and doing it a lot more. I've been able to capture her smiles on camera a few times this past week.
She also developed baby acne a lot earlier than her brothers, and it is in full force on her face right now and spreading down her neck and chest. Poor girl. I really hope it goes away soon. I feel like she has gained a lot of weight over the past two weeks, but I won't know for sure until she turns two months. We don't visit the pediatrician again until then. She's definitely bigger and heavier, and she's super long!
She won't stay a little peanut for much longer. :(
Time goes by way too fast, but we are soaking up every moment with this little beauty!
