First Grade, Here We Come!

So exciting to send my little man off to first grade this year! I can't believe how big he is getting! He was up and ready the first morning, making sure to offer his opinion on his first day of school outfit, all the way down to the new shoes that he begged us to buy him a month or so ago. (Did I mention he spent the night before trying on all his new clothes? Sometimes I don't know who this kid is!)

As a big first grader, he is taking the bus to and from school this year, which is really helping Mommy out in the mornings. He is in Mrs. Moore's 1st grade class, and he was excited to see quite a few kids from his class last year as well as some other familiar faces. His teacher seems great and we've heard wonderful things about her, so we are excited to see what this year will bring!

Brody's thoughts on the first day of school? His favorite part was that they got to have 3 recesses, there are new hydration stations in the hallway (like at the hockey rink) and he loves the bathroom passes--stuffed animals that you put in your chair when you leave the classroom. Oh, to be in first grade again!!
