Concord Family Night Out & Art Show

Concord had their family night out event this week, and it is always eagerly anticipated by my crew. They serve dinner and then the kids buy raffle tickets to try to win different themed baskets. There are probably a hundred baskets with themes from family movie night, to i love legos to wild about minnesota wild. The items in the baskets are all donated by Concord families, and it is really amazing to see how much stuff there is each year. We have never won a basket before, but this year we did! Brody won a Snow Days themed basket with board games, hot cocoa, a blanket, socks, etc. He was super excited and we have all enjoyed the items this winter.

In addition to the raffle baskets, there was an art show in the library. The students had the option to create anything they wanted related to Art Around the Globe. Of course my two dudes wanted to participate. They love this sort of thing! Brody made a clay sculpture of the Greek God Zeus, and Leyton painted a canvas of a Russian Castle.

Awesome work, boys!
