Over Presidents Day weekend, we headed up to Grandview Lodge to attend Family Fest winter retreat. Family Fest Ministries puts on a weekend getaway for Christian families to come together for a few days of fun, spiritual growth, and quality family time. With speakers and amazing music for the adults, great programming for the kids, and an endless list of winter activities to take part in over the three days, it is truly nonstop fun and faith building. We have talked about going for a couple years, but this year the time was right, and with many of our family friends attending as well, we couldn't pass up this great opportunity. We had an absolute blast, and the only reason I didn't take more pictures is because my phone got lost on the first day. (It was later found in the melting snow, shipped back to me, and still worked, which is why I was able to get these photos to share!)
These pictures were taken the first morning of our trip when I took the boys dog sledding on Gull Lake. It was SO cold that morning, but we bundled up well and made it out for the five minute ride. The kids had a blast despite the cold. The entire weekend was nonstop fun and excitement, and we can't wait to go back!
time to go! callan, leyton, mommy, the driver, and brody all by himself on the sled in back! |
