Our last day of vacation had arrived. Everyone else had to head back home, but our flight didn't leave until early Monday morning, so we decided to hang out in Galveston for one more day before heading into Houston to our hotel. We found ourselves at The Strand in the historic district, known for shopping as well as the popular Railroad Museum. We had a fun morning checking out the shops and having lunch at the very yummy Yaga Cafe before heading over to the Railroad Museum and spending some time exploring the train cars.

Before hitting the road for Houston, we had to stop for one last treat at the famous La King's candy store and soda fountain. I can remember going to this place when I was a little kid, so it was fun to take my own kids there. Root beer floats, ice cream cones, and chocolate turtles and we were good to go!
Such a fun vacation! Now it's time to go home and rest. :)
