Christmas morning came early, as it always does. I love how the kids always bound out of bed as soon as their little eyes open. I'm always excited, too, so I don't ever mind getting up early on this special day. We headed downstairs as quick as we could, and as usual, what a sight! The stockings were emptied as quick as could be, the boys took inventory of all their loot, and then it was time to head into the front room where our Christmas tree awaited. I don't think they could have been more excited! The thing about staying in Minnesota for Christmas is that we only have one "Christmas." In Texas, we have three or more, so things are spread out a bit, but when we stay home, everyone from Texas sends their gifts ahead of time, so we literally have a mountain of presents. I can't help but feel greedy when I look at it all. The good thing is knowing that my boys are very good about helping me find old and unwanted toys from their old stuff so that we can donate it and make room for the new stuff.

After a delicious breakfast made by Daddy, we headed over to Grandma and Grandpa Smith's house for a yummy feast and some family time. The boys enjoyed hanging out with their cousins, Ansel and Isabel--they followed them around the whole day! It was a joyous Christmas, and we are so very blessed.
Merry Christmas to your and yours!
