At Christmas Time, many people go caroling, which means they go from house to house singing festive Christmas songs and bringing joy to others. Tonight, bring joy to your grandparents by calling them on the phone and singing a Christmas carol.
3 Excited Kids + iPhone Facetime = Disaster! We practiced for quite awhile before making the first call. We had our set list down. But the second these little dudes saw the faces of their relatives, they were just overcome with excitement. There was lots of squealing, shrieking, and frantic running around the room involved. I'm not sure if Grandaddy, Grandma, and Aunt Bethany were left with Christmas joy or motion sickness, but I can tell you we will have to practice a little bit more before trying that one again! :)
Day 19:
Warm up by the fire tonight with candy cane marshmallows and hot chocolate! You can open another surprise Christmas book, too.
These were fun and super easy to make. You just take a miniature candy cane and stick it in the top of a large marshmallow. Then hang the hook part of the candy cane over the mug of cocoa. A yummy treat, perfect for a cold winter's night!
Day 20:
Santa loves cookies! Let's design our very own cookie plate for Santa that we can leave out on Christmas Eve, filled with some tasty treats.
I had bigger plans for this particular project, like using Expo markers on a white ceramic plate and then baking it to "set" the color. I also thought about going to a design your own pottery studio and having the kids make a plate there. But when it came down to it, some paper plates, stickers, and glitter glue were all it took to keep these little men busy, and they had such a great time working on their plates for Santa!
| b was very intense, creating a cute little fireplace with a christmas tree and gifts beside it. :) |
| l would rather just take every color of glitter glue and pretty much dump it all over his plate Two completely different methods, two very cute results! |
