Ice Scream, You Scream!

Birthday season is finally coming to an end around here, but we had to send it out with a bang! This year, Leyton requested an ice cream party, so we hosted a little ice cream social at our house for some of our dear friends. It was a perfect way to celebrate a 4th birthday, and a fun party for me to plan.  I've always wanted my own sweet shoppe! :)

Did I say it was fun to plan this party? I had a blast coming up with the colors, decorations, and food ideas for this little shindig. I always dread planning three birthday parties in a row, but once I get started, I remember how much fun I have with all the details. For this party, we went all out with an ice cream sundae bar, complete with waffle cone bowls, gummy bears, chocolate chip cookie crumbles, heath bar crumbles, sprinkles, cherries, and both chocolate and butterscotch caramel syrup.  I also made these cute little cupcakes that looked like ice cream cones, and they were good!

As the kids arrived, we headed outside for a craft project, making ice cream sundae magnets from die-cut foam pieces.  They were super easy and turned out really cute!

Then it was pinata time! I thought this ice cream cone pinata was so cute, and the kids couldn't wait to get to all the treats inside!

 After all that excitement, we headed back into the house for cake and ice cream! Yum!

We couldn't send the guests home empty handed, so instead we sent them though Smith's Sweet Shoppe one last time to pick out some goodies to take home.  Cute little mini popcorn boxes held their treasures.

Party success!  Now I get to rest until next year. :)  Happy Happy Birthday, Leyton!  I hope your birthday party was exactly what you wanted and that your memories of this day are always sweet!!
