Wisconsin Dells 2012

At some point in late June, Brad made the comment that we wouldn't be taking any vacations over the summer, and he was feeling a little bummed out about it. I wasn't as much because I feel like the summer at home with the kids is a lot like vacation in many ways--there are so many things to do and see, and it's great just to be outdoors. But, I did agree that a little trip would be fun! A change of pace is always nice. We had heard a lot about Wisconsin Dells and were curious to try it out. So, during the week of July 4th, off we went!

We stayed at Kalahari Resort, which has both an indoor and outdoor waterpark, a cinema, and a small theme park. We pretty much had everything we could have wanted right there within walking distance. The kids LOVED it!  Everyday, Brody said it was the best vacation ever, and we all had a fabulous time. We swam, and splashed, and played, and lounged in the water, caught a midday showing of Brave at the theater, took in a round of mini golf at Pirate's Cove, and even experienced our first Duck tour of both land and water onboard an amphibious vehicle. Such a fun trip with our boys, and you can bet we will be back!
