Oma has been on me to update the blog, so my goal is to get it done this week! I've got six posts to get done to get us all caught up, so here's the first...
May 14th and 15th was the annual Linden Hills Festival weekend, and it turned out to be a mix of good and bad. Good because we had our very first and very successful garage sale on Saturday, but bad because it poured the entire day! That didn't stop the shoppers, however, and there was a steady stream throughout the day. We got rid of the majority of our stuff, and the best part was that we were able to box up the rest and put it out by the side of the road for pickup by a local charity. So even the stuff we didn't sell we got rid of anyway! Yay for clean closets and a much-needed organized basement!
Sunday was gorgeous although a little chilly. The kids enjoyed the bike parade around the park and then all the kid games. Mommy enjoyed some mini donuts! :) We always look forward to this event in our neighborhood, so I am really glad the weather shaped up so that we could get out on Sunday and have some fun!
