Really, make that 9 1/2. I got a little behind, and unfortunately, no matter what I do I can't seem to make time stand still. So here we are at the halfway point (or so) between months 9 and 10 of Baby Callan's young life. Our littlest one is full of sweetness and joy, and we just love him so! He's also got a voice, and he's not afraid to use it. I think he doesn't have much of a choice--being the third in a family of wild boys, he has to be able to let us know when he needs something! Here are a few other items to report:
he's moving! C has mastered the army crawl and is getting faster and faster every day. we're seeing lots of rocking back and forth on his hands and knees, but he hasn't quite figured out how to make those legs work. he also does this really cute swimming motion with his arms and legs when he gets excited...see for yourself!
eating is going great! he's nursing twice a day and taking formula twice a day. he's making a very smooth transition to finger foods and seems to like most things. he definitely lets us know he wants what we're having, so we're slowly letting him try it all. favorites so far? bagels, avocado slices, mandarin oranges, roast chicken, cheese slices, scrambled egg, spaghetti w/ meat sauce, macaroni and cheese, black beans, and roasted sweet potatoes! No teeth yet, and still no sign of them! :)
sleeping is perfect! I can't complain one bit...we're all getting a full night's rest with usually no interruption. thank you, baby!
favorite toys right now are balls of any size--C loves to roll them and then go after them. he also loves his busy gears toy and he's getting really excited about books, too. he will laugh and laugh when we turn the pages.
in the past 48 hours, C has learned how to go from his back or belly up to a sitting position! I simply can't believe that in approximately three months, he'll be walking! my little man is growing up!
