Happy 12 Weeks to Baby Callan!
Brody--talks a mile a minute to whomever will listen and usually impresses people with his vast knowledge of various random topics, including those straight from his imagination! He is very much the rule enforcer, although he doesn't always follow the rules himself. :) He will quickly let us know if we forget to buckle his seatbelt (thank goodness!) or when we need a reminder to brush his teeth before bedtime. LOVES school and everything about it, but most especially Show and Tell. This week he had to take something that started with the letter "B," so he took his baby brother. It was adorable! He has started ice skating lessons and loves them. Will we have a little hockey player on our hands? I guess we'll find out soon!
Leyton--Could those eyes be any bigger? :) He is so full of wonder right now that it just makes me smile. Super super naughty, too! He's entered the terrible two's with a vengeance! Hitting, pushing, tantrums, and outright screaming when we don't do things the way he wants. I never thought he would change from that calm, mellow easygoing little fella, but apparently becoming a middle child sent him over the edge a little bit! Mostly, he just makes me crack up. He loves to wear my high heels and carry a purse around the house with his blue glitter crown on the top of his head. He also still loves his Bunny and likes to put him in the baby swing, "change" his diaper, and nurse him, too. What a lover and a little mama's boy!
Callan--sweetness, pure sweetness...I wish I could just snuggle with his baby smelling softness all day long! He's becoming very aware of the things around him and starting to interact with his world a lot more. Lots of smiles for everyone and coos galore! We've had a few dips in the road with nursing as he seems to be unable to handle the amount of milk that comes at him at one time, which leads to lots of crying during feedings, but we are working on it and I am determined that we will get past it. He continues to wake up twice at night, around 2 and 5 am for feedings, but last week he had four days in a row where he slept for 10 hours straight without waking up. I'm hoping that will return--it was really nice. Most people are starting to say that he looks like me, but we still get the occasional glimpse of the little old man, especially when he's mad!
It's probably a good thing I have such awful morning sickness when I'm preggers, because I think I could probably have a dozen of these little goobers. They are so much fun!
