We're in the homestretch now! Could be any day, any minute, anytime! Of course, that means that I am constantly in alert mode. How far is too far to drive? Does Brad have his cell phone with him and turned on? Who's "on duty" to take the kids when we leave for the hospital? I'm constantly thinking and planning, all the while analyzing every ache and pain to determine if this might be the real thing. I know I technically still have two weeks (three if this guy turns out to be like his brothers) but I am just so anxious for him to be here, and so determined to not get to 41 weeks this time.
Today at my 38 week appointment, the doctor performed a membrane strip, which immediately got me from 2 cm dilated to 3. Then she suggested that I walk as much as possible this afternoon in an effort to get things happening. Since the weather was so disgusting, we headed out to the Mall of America and walked the floors. So far, nothing exciting to report, but I am keeping my fingers crossed. In any event, having this procedure done at 38 weeks vs. 40, like I've done in the past, should help increase my chances of going into labor sooner rather than later. And if it doesn't work this time, I'll do it again at 39 weeks!! I'm not giving up!
So am I really ready for THREE?? Well, who's ever fully ready for complete mayhem and chaos? :) I know I am going to face many challenges ahead, but the love and support of family and friends will help us get through the rocky parts. And the absolute miracle of bringing a new baby into our family will make it all worth it! So YES, I am READY!!

OHHH, you look great, Rachel! Fingers crossed the strip gets things moving! I did that w/Logan and then did mostly Chiro stuff for Landon...both came at 38-39 weeks, so hang in there!
