It's Soccer Time!

Today Brody and Leyton started their first day of Lil Kickers soccer. I know, a 21 month-old in soccer, you ask?! It was definitely a sight to behold and really cute to see all the little ones out on the field, running and kicking. Brody was really into it, but he was all about hands on the ball, so we've got our first skill to work on here at home! His class is skill-based, so they are working on all sorts of things necessary to play soccer successfully, without ever playing a competitive game. Leyton's class is much more play-based, and mommies have to be on the field with the little ones. We did things like kick the bubbles, make cone towers and kick them down, and play with the parachute. Overall, a great program for the little ones, so it makes it worth the drive to Maple Grove every Friday morning this summer!

Circle time...Brody is in the green shirt.

Leyton was excited to get his turn on the field!
