Boys Will Be Boys

I just wanted to take a shower. It really didn't seem like too much to ask at the time. So I gave the boys a box of crayons and a dinosaur coloring book and instructed them to color a picture for me right outside the bathroom door. The coloring part lasted about two minutes. Then Brody started ripping out every page of the coloring book while Leyton tore all the paper off the crayons. Soon after that, they discovered it was even more fun to stick the crayons in Daddy's shoes and make "Spy Shoes," whatever those are. The crowning moment came when they knocked it all down and made a monster size mess. At that point, I could have either laughed or cried. I chose to just go with the flow--you have to pick your battles, right?! And at least they were being creative! All in a day's work for me... :)
