It is so hard to believe that I am already to the halfway point in my pregnancy. Where does the time go? Oh yeah, I have two little ones to chase around all day and focus all my attention on, so I hardly even remember I'm pregnant half the time. So far, this pregnancy has been pretty much the same as the previous ones, which probably means we're having another boy, but we'll find out soon enough! After the morning sickness finally ended at around 16 weeks, I've been feeling really great and back to my usual self. I can cook and clean and do all the things I usually do without having to lie down and will myself not to barf, and I've stopped going to bed at 8:30 every night. It is so nice to be back to normal! I started feeling Little Baby moving right before 16 weeks, so that has been fun to experience, and he/she is already on a schedule, most active right when I wake up in the morning and again at around 8:30 or 9 at night.
We haven't really done anything so far in preparation for the baby, and we know we have plenty of time. The only thing that we have realized is that 3 kids will not fit in an Explorer, so we are soon going to have to find an alternative means of transportation. I have tried to convince myself that we can choose from any number of bigger, cooler SUV's, but the truth is, I think it's time to admit that I'm just not cool anymore and go for what's most practical. Yes, I'm going to say it--a Minivan! As my neighbor pointed out this week, when you don't even have time to shower, you've lost all sense of cool. Why not just choose something because it's easier? Couldn't have said it better myself! I'm sold!
This whole pregnancy so far hasn't really seemed real, most likely because I am just too busy to think about it much. Brad and I definitely have no idea what we are in for, but there's no turning back now! We are just hoping to see a beautiful healthy baby waving back at us from the ultrasound screen on Monday. All that pink or blue stuff really doesn't matter to us. We will have fun with our little one no matter what.
I can't believe I waited until 20 weeks to take pictures, but like I said, time is moving quickly these days. Enjoy the first peek at the newest baby belly!

I can't believe time is going by so quickly either! I can't wait to find out whether baby smith is a girl or boy--either way, it will be very exciting news! ;-)
I will have my phone in my pocket all day...The whole office is waiting for the news. Call me!!!
I will be happy with either as long as he/she is healthy with 10 toes and 10 fingers. Can't wait to hear from you...Mom
you look adorable, rachel! ill be checking the blog tomorrow for the big news!
I simply cannot believe you are half way there - you really look amazing when you are (and of course when you are not) pregnant. I remember the JL new/transfer member mtg at Emily's house when you were a few weeks away from having Leyton and thinking... gosh, if only I could look like that when I'm pregnant :)
