cause I'm about to be seriously outnumbered!! I was not surprised at all when I heard the news at our appointment yesterday, but at the same time I can't believe we're having another boy! Crazy times ahead, that's for sure! I certainly had some visions floating around of ruffles and pink, ballet classes, glitter and makeup and everything girly, but I am REALLY excited to welcome another little man into the family. There was a time when I wished that I would have three boys, so it looks as though my wish has been granted! And, it will be an easy transition as we certainly have all things boy around here. I won't even have to stress about the nursery--it's move-in ready. Move one out and move a new one in!!
The ultrasound went well yesterday, despite the mean technician who rubbed me the wrong way right from the start. I have always had the same person do my ultrasounds, but apparently they've hired someone new, and she's not the friendliest cabbage in the patch. She immediately started complaining because Brad and I brought the kids, and didn't they tell us not to bring kids to this appointment, blah, blah, blah. I was immediately stressed out and worried about every sound they made because of it. Then, when she told us we were having another boy, she started in on how lots of people try for a girl the third time around and it just doesn't always work that way, etc. We hadn't uttered a single word about wanting a girl, so I'm not sure why she felt the need to launch into that nonsense. I was so turned off by the end that I couldn't wait to get out of there!
Despite that craziness, the ultrasound looked good, and Baby #3 has all his limbs, fingers/toes and important organs. He was folded in there like a little taco, with his legs over his head, so she was unable to get a good look at his spine. This doesn't mean anything really, except that I'll have to have another ultrasound in four weeks to see if he'll let her get a better glimpse. I'm really hoping that Jackie is back for that appointment because I can't take much more of Meanie.
Here are some "first pics" of our littlest man. You can get a glimpse of his cute little face instead of his boy parts. :)
