Our New Deck

I haven't given an update on our house in a long time, but that's mostly because we haven't done anything very exciting in the last few months--other than having our new deck built! When my Dad came to visit in August, he spent two whole days (JUST two whole days!) building us a fabulous new outdoor space to cook, eat, play, and relax. We love it! We waited for a few weeks before staining it, and boy, was that a big job. We thought it would take one day and it ended up taking three, but we are so happy with the color and the way everything turned out. Thanks, Dad, for your amazing work on this project. We couldn't be happier!

This is what we started with...ugly cement and a really old fountain that we uncovered after removing some ugly planting beds.
