I'm in denial that my baby is growing up, but all
the signs say it's so:
- Little Leyton is rolling and scooting EVERYWHERE! There is no safe zone these days. It is hilarious to watch him focus in on what he wants and then use his arms to pull himself along on the floor until he gets there. With two mobile little ones, I am officially twice as busy as ever!
- He is loving any and all foods that we've offered thus far. Peas, carrots, sweet potatoes, apples, pears, bananas, blueberries, apricots, avocados and the list goes on...He really loves puffs, wagon wheels, and graham crackers, too.
- Leyton's temper is starting to show, especially with his big brother. Brody likes to take toys away from Leyton, and although we are working on sharing every day, Leyton is soon gonna show him who's boss. He screams at the top of his lungs when something is taken away, and I am predicting that before long that scream is going to accompany a bop on the head to the aforementioned big brother.
- He's sleeping thru the night--well, almost! (Ok, so it depends on the day, but hey, I'll take what I can get!)
- His little baby bottom teeth are just about to pop through his gums. He's been a little fussy and drooly lately as we are dealing with this new milestone.
- As most babies this age do, Leyton tries to put all things in his mouth. And, since I'm also really busy chasing a two-year old, I sometimes don't notice until whatever it is is IN his mouth--leaves, flower petals, string, even a jelly bean! My fear of choking has skyrocketed in the past two weeks, so I am on constant alert these days.
- Leyton hates getting in his carseat. When he sees me open the back door of the Explorer, he immediately freaks out. He's fine once he's settled in, but I think he just has no tolerance for being tied down anymore. He wants to move!
Still the sweetest little lover around!
