Baby Yayton (that's what we call him around here--Thanks big brother!) turned six months old on Wednesday. What a fun half year we've had! The word that best describes Leyton is CONTENT! We are so lucky to have such an easygoing, happy, and jolly little man. Here's what's happening on Leyton's half-birthday:
- He started rice cereal and loves it! I think it's helping him sleep better as he is now sleeping in his crib almost every night and only waking up two times. Yay!
- He is a roly-poly. He has his eye on whatever prize is lying within eyesight, and he will do whatever stretching, back bending, rolling, and other acrobatic activity it takes to reach it. (Brody never did this. I honestly think he was too fat to move that much. :)
- He coos and smiles constantly and loves to interact with anyone he sees. His trademark sound is this really loud bird sounding shriek that always gets lots of attention.
- He is a chewer. No teeth yet, but he loves to chew on fingers, toys, and blankets.
- He is the easiest baby to put down for naps. I just put him in his crib and walk away. He never fusses. He just plays for awhile and then falls asleep. Easy as pie!
- Leyton loves to twist (and pull) my hair and touch my face while he's nursing. Truly the sweetest thing I've ever seen!
- He has graduated from the sink to the big tub (with big brother) for his bath. I used Brody's old duckie tub the first time, until I realized it had a hole in it. So now I'm on the hunt for the old-fashioned round bath seat. Leyton LOVES to be in the bath with his brother. He immediately starts splashing and reaching for all the toys. My camera is out of commission (boo,) so I can't post any pictures right now, but here's a video clip of Leyton's first time in the big tub.
