First Food!

Leyton tried rice cereal for the first time last week, and I would love to say that it was a hit, but that was simply not the case. The little man was totally confused and unsure of this foreign substance I was trying to shove in his mouth. It was only last night that he finally seemed to recognize that it is food I am offering him, and he began to open his mouth.  However, each time he took a bite, he quickly followed by shoving his thumb back in his mouth and sucking away.  It was almost like he thought he needed to suck to get the food to his belly.  I don't know--pretty funny, though!  He was covered from head to thumb when it was all said and done. :)  Here are some pics from the first attempt.

Trying to hold the camera in one hand and feed with the other does not yield the best results in terms of photos!
