Sever's Corn Maze

Sunday was a gorgeous day in Minneapolis (finally!) so we headed out to Sever's Corn Maze in Shakopee. Brad and I went to the maze a few years ago, before babies, and we had a ton of fun finding our way out. This year we went more for the other activities than the actual maze as it is really quite challenging and can take awhile to get thru. Each year, they create a new design, and they are very impressive! This year's theme--Pirates!

Brody went wild on the hay bale maze. Most of the kids enjoyed jumping on top of the hay bales in lieu of actually going through the maze, and he was no exception!

The petting zoo was really fun! There were all sorts of exotic animals, including a zebra, fallow deer, lemurs, water buffalo, and spider monkeys. We fed the zebra, camel, and the ostrich--who had to be spoon fed. Makes sense--when I think about it, I guess I wouldn't want his extra large beak anywhere near my outstretched hand!

The whole family had fun in the giant corn pit. It's kind of like a ball pit except you are almost guaranteed to bring some of the pit home with you, stuck in your pants or socks. Brody wanted to bury himself in the corn, and Leyton just wanted to eat it!

We topped off our afternoon with a yummy caramel apple and a big basket of fresh cut french fries. Perfecto! If you live in the Minneapolis area, I would definitely recommend this place for a day of family fun!
